Two weeks ago, I read some articles about a new gadget from Google, Google Smart Glasses. I read this article after we (I and my classmates) have a discussion in Mr. Rizal's class and I was interested about this gadget. Google which we know as the largest search engine planned to release a smart glasses. This project will be released by the end of this year.
Smart glasses are a pair of glasses that can serve as smart phone. These glasses are designed as a thin line across the forehead, and has a small screen for displaying some information for user. It's wearable glasses with transparent screen.
Based on Google's video (I watched it in YouTube), this smart glasses can make video calls, take pictures, know the weather, read digital maps, and be a reminder. User just need to send voice command to make this glasses work. It can be connected to 3G and 4G LTE network, motion sensor, and GPS. For the prediction, the kind of platform that will be used in this glasses is Android.
It will be interesting to see if Google will actually sell these smart glasses. The rumor is, these glasses' price is about 380 Euro (4,6 million Rupiah). But I don't know what happened with someone who wear these glasses, because it can be a strange situation when the people start to talk to themselves in public!
